1,384 kg: Closing the loop on uniform offcuts with Avena Group
We are proud to share that 1,384kg of offcuts have been responsibly destroyed, saving 668kg of CO₂ in the process. Corporate organisations are under growing pressure to evidence progress against ESG commitments, particularly around waste, procurement, and Scope 3 emissions. In textiles, the challenge is acute.
17 Oct 2025

In the UK alone, WRAP reports that around 711,000 tonnes of used textiles were discarded in household bins and general waste in 2021, with a large share incinerated and some sent to landfill. At the same time, the wider fashion and textiles system remains carbon intensive, with global supply chains and high material loss. UN climate bodies have repeatedly flagged fashion’s contribution to global emissions and the need to decarbonise production.
London manufacturing as the default
Our greatest strength is London manufacturing, not only for the speed and precision it offers, but for the sustainable methods that underpin it. Local production supports shorter transport distances, tighter quality control, and a more responsive made-to-measure model, which helps avoid overproduction. Uniforms are often ordered “just in case”, then stored, replaced, and discarded. We take a different route. Made to measure means we cut with intent, produce what is needed, and reduce avoidable surplus at source.
Responsible offcut management with Avena Group
Even the most disciplined cutting room produces offcuts. What matters is what happens next. We partnered with Avena Group, specialists in secure textile destruction and recycling, to ensure our fabric offcuts are handled properly, with auditability and compliant processes. Avena operates a dedicated textile recycling and destruction service, including secure collection and processing designed for organisations where brand protection and traceability matter. Through our offcut programme, we are proud to share:
1,384 kg of fabric offcuts responsibly destroyed
An associated saving of 668 kg of CO₂
Next steps
Sustainability is a moving target, and expectations will keep rising. Our focus now is to continue scaling what works: local manufacturing, made to measure production, and transparent end-of-life solutions for textiles, so our clients can meet ambitious ESG criteria with confidence.
